[ And he might give the faintest sound of a chuckle at that, shaking his head as they go. Regardless of whether or not she's capable of taking care of herself, he's not about to let anything happen to her and so he keeps himself on his toes as they go, the neverending darkness a hindrance in way of keeping watch. Nothing he can't handle at least. Or so he tells himself. ]

From what I've gathered, there's not a whole lot in the way of things to hunt or grow here, is there?

Agreed. But perhaps if he doesn't know what we are feeding him...

[ Does he catch her drift? She smiles at him again before turning her gaze back out into the darkness. It's easy to navigate into the forest, where spirits dart to and fro, peering at them from behind trees. ]

No, unfortunately. If we are still able to get supplies, I would like to put in a request for seeds for fruits and vegetables. That way, this cannot happen again.

But can they grow without sunlight?

[ He glances to her as they go, though comes to look away from her when he hears... something. It's... faint but familiar? At least it seems that way. Staring off into the darkness around them, he swipes his tongue over his lower lip before he looks back to Luna. ]

Sorry, what?

[ Did she.. say something? ]

I've no idea. A new friend mentioned a greenhouse to me during the ferry incident... but I've no idea if things could even grow in there.

[ She is about to continue, but Nyx's attention is drawn elsewhere. It makes her go quiet, her gaze locked on him until he looks back at her. ]

....Are you alright?

[nyxulric]

Yeah, I just... thought I heard something.

[ Even as he explains himself to her, he can't help but glance off around them again. Watching. Wondering. Hand itching to take hold of his dagger. It could just be his imagination? Yeah, that's it, right? But he knows better than to brush off anything, especially when surrounded by so much darkness. ]

Oh?

[ It's Lunafreya's turn to frown out into the darkness, eyes narrowing as she scans the area and finds... nothing but the usual darkness and gloom that surrounds them. ]

I think it's safe, I neither see nor hear anything suspicious.

[nyxulric]

Guess you're right.

[ Still, it's not as though he's going to completely ignore the possibility of something or someone being out there. Just look at where they are. ]

Better get a move on. At least where there's a bit more light or people.

Worry not, Nyx. I will protect you from the things that go bump in the night.

[ She smiles at him, giving him the lightest of playful nudges as they go along. ]

Should we not be looking to do the opposite of that? Where there are people, there will likely be less food and things to be found, yes?

[ It's said as they continue on, a fleeting glance given to their surroundings. ]

True. But there's safety in numbers as well. Besides, if we keep close enough, there's nothing wrong with that.

[ It's too easy to tease him gently, after all. Besides, she wants to put his mind at ease. ]

Perhaps. We can try that first, and if we cannot find many supplies, then we will head off deeper into the forest. Does that sound alright?

[ A shake of his head, he sighs a bit. ]

You don't really do the whole playing it safe thing, do you?

I'm hardly afraid, and I think between the two of us, we can fend ourselves quite well.

[ She laughs, though, looking back at the path ahead of them. ]

I would much rather take the chance and see if we can't find something good, that's all.
