[ When Ignis finally arrives at the apartment its with a little box, the sort you'd expect from a pastry shop, and the labeling on it will be familiar as its one of his more favorite locations to stop by at and pick up his favorite chiffon cake. ]
Good evening, Lady Lunafreya. I hope the wait was not terribly long.
[ He'll start to step into the kitchen, finding the counter where he'll set the box down. ]
I thought I would perhaps amend for my troubles with a bit something for us to enjoy over tea. I hope a few slices of lemon meringue cake are suitable?
[ Lunafreya is just finishing the promised tea, setting everything in place when Ignis arrives home. She smiles in his direction, and once he has things settled, she moves over to him to take his hands lightly and greet him with a proper kiss on his cheek. ]
Good evening, welcome home, Ignis. It was not, and even if it were, I would wait forever and a day. You need never worry about that.
[ She leans back to give him his space, but the hold on his hands remains as she gently guides him to the table so that he may take a seat. ]
Please, make yourself comfortable. Allow me to cut the cake and pour our tea, dear.
[ Her kindness will never be astounding, nor does he think he'll get used to being greeted home in this manner. The soft press of lips against his cheek does have Ignis' face warming up just a tad, but he can excuse it as being Chroma-influenced, easily. He allows her to ease him into a seat, which he does, and after being on his feet most of the day due to work it's incredibly relieving to finally start his down time. ]
My Lady's flattery cannot be matched, certainly. [ He gives a soft chuckle. ]
