[After dinner has been finished that night, Noctis gathers up whatever leftovers there might be - including a couple of muffins from that morning - onto a plate and takes it outside. But instead of simply beginning his normal trek to the library, he waits for Luna to join him.]
It's true you know I think you are, and I think the boys do too
[ It doesn't take long, Luna's only stayed behind to help Ignis clean up as per usual, but soon she's tugged on her jacket and outside she goes, lifting a hand in polite greeting despite the fact that they've literally just seen each other but old habits die hard and she can't help herself. ]
[Part of him - okay, all of him, wants to tell her that he really, definitely isn't. That no one else could possibly think that highly of him expect for her.
But he doesn't. Because she'd argue it and he knows she would.
His hands are a little too full to wave, the plate balanced in one, his lantern and tablet in the other. But he offers her a smile as soon as she's close enough for it to be seen.]
[It does make the load a bit lighter. Let's him hold up his lantern to illuminate the path from their cabin towards the center of the village and the library.]
Not sure if you've met any of the other forest spirits yet but they're kind of... unusual. [Almost animal like, really. Which probably explained why Noctis liked them so much.]
[ She is glad to be able to help, even in such a small, mundane way. Mostly, though... mostly, she is glad to be able to walk next to Noctis like this. She only wishes that they had been able to do this at home, too. ]
I've seen a few but I haven't interacted with them. I... was unsure if that would be a wise move or not.
[ Read: she doesn't want to get into any skirmishes, thanks. ]
I am, thanks to you, Prompto, and Ignis. I have met a few very kind people here from places other than Eos as well. Though admittedly... I still have many questions about this place.
[He wishes that too. That they could have walked together in the sun through the streets of Insomnia. That he could have shown her his home. That they could have been together anywhere but here.]
You should. They'd probably love you. It's hard not to.
[He appreciates that though. He knows Luna can take care of herself, but she's their princess. No one wants all three of those boys pissed off at them. No one.]
Not sure I'm the best person to ask. Iggy could probably explain it all better.
[ Well... at least they have now, and she can appreciate any time spent together at this point, honestly. ]
You are being far too kind, you know.
[ She thinks he is, at least. But he's extremely biased, clearly. She is very lucky to have him in her life-- unlife? Afterlife. Just as much as she is to have Prompto ad Ignis, too. ]
Well, I don't think even Ignis could answer these questions. [ She pauses, making a face. ] How does one die when they are already dead? And why do we still have to eat? I don't understand.
